Berlyn Wedgeworth of Gulf Shores wins Pan American weightlifting title

Berlyn Wedgeworth of Gulf Shores won the 2016 Pan American Masters weightlifting championship in his class and division. Berlyn, represented the United States, competed in the snatch as well as the clean & jerk. The competition was held in Puerto Rico from June 17-19.
Lifters represented Canada, the United States, South America, Central America and the Caribbean Islands. Berlyn not only won his division and class, he was also selected with a best lifter award.
This performance qualifies Berlyn for the World Masters Championship to be held in Germany sometime in October. Berlyn trains at Aces Better Bodies and at Gulf Shores High School. He would like to thank all his friends for their support.
