Bethel Baptist Walk Through Bethlehem is Dec. 9-11

Bethel Baptist Church, located four miles East of Robertsdale on Hwy. 90, will host its annual Walk Through Bethlemem from Dec. 9-11 from 6-8 p.m. For more information, call 947-5145 or visit bbcrobertsdale.com. The event is free and doors to the worship center open at 5:30 p.m. for early arrivals, and anyone inside the worship center at 8 p.m. will experience the Walk.
Guests become part of the Christmas story in Bethel’s interactive program, as teh church re-creates what Bethlehem might have been like the night Jesus was born. Listen closely, and you’ll hear the dialogue between your tour host (shepherd) and the residents of Bethlehem. They tell the story.
In the meantime, you will be immersed in the sights, sounds, and even the smells of the ancient city. Eventually, you’ll make the same discovery the shepherds of Bethlehem made, as they ran to find the place where Jesus had been laid in a manger.
The 20-30 minute walk is outside, so dress appropriately. Guests will wait their turn to walk through the city in the comfortable environment of the Worship Center. Refreshments will be served upon completion of the walk.
Voluntary donations will be accepted for the Lottie Moon Christmas offering, which supports Southern Baptist missionaries and mission staff throughout the world.
