Big Beach Brewing Company Earns Beautification Award
The Beautification Board of the City of Gulf Shores selected Big Beach Brewing Company for the quarterly Commercial Beautification Award. Located in the Waterway Village at 300 E. 24th Avenue, the newly opened microbrewery is owned by Jim and Julie Shamburger, long time residents of Gulf Shores. The Shamburgers selected the location for the large oak trees, view of the canal, and accessibility to other venues of the Waterway Village. The Big Beach Brewing Company is a 10-barrel microbrewery that specializes in brewing ales of all types. The design and construction of the facility preserved the large. long established oak trees that provide shade and capture breezes for the facility. The landscaped courtyard with outdoor and indoor fireplaces allows for outdoor enjoyment of micro-brewed beverages during the cooler seasons.
