Catholic Social Services Crawfish Boil April 23 in Elberta

The Third Annual Crawfish Boil hosted by Catholic Social Services (CSS) of Baldwin County will be held from 1 to 5 p.m., Sunday, April 23 at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 22736 Old Foley Road, Elberta. Tickets are $35 each and include All You Can Eat Crawfish, Jambalaya, Desserts, Sodas, Beer, Wine, Raffle Prizes and a live Cajun band (Pooyai Band). Children under 12 eat FREE. Sponsorships are available, Platinum, $1,000, includes four tickets; Gold, $500, includes two tickets; Silver, $250; and Bronze, $100. Contact CSS, 947-2384 for more information.
Catholic Social Services provides a variety of programs for Baldwin County families. Emergency services include food, clothing, rent and utilities aid. Case Management works with clients intensively to remove barriers to self-sufficiency. Project REACH serves low-income school-age children by providing school supplies and financial assistance for fees.
Ozanam Pharmacy gives uninsured, low-income earners prescription medications, mainly maintenance medicines. Project Christmas provides food, toys and gift items through a coordinated community effort. A master’s level therapist who is a Licensed Professional Counselor provides counseling for those who face difficult life issues.
CSS is recognized by the US Board of Immigration Appeals (DHS) to provide legal assistance in immigrations matters regardless of their immigration status. As an early responder, CSS staff and volunteers provide emergency assistance, information and referral services for disaster relief.
