Emerald Coast Gulf Tour coming to Kiva Dunes March 6-8
The Emerald Coast Golf Tour is coming to Gulf Shores March 6-8. The tour will start its 2019 season in Gulf Shores at the beautiful Kiva Dunes Golf Club. The event will be a 54 hole event starting on Wednesday, March 6 for the professionals. Then there will be a kickoff party for all players in the Kiva Dunes clubhouse on Wednesday night. This will be an opportunity to meet you professional for the tournament. On Thursday, March 7 there will be a one day Pro-Am starting at 12:30 p.m. It will be a four team Pro-Am consisting of one professional and three amateurs. Then on Thursday night, after the Pro-Am, there will be a post game after-party for the players at the Hideaway Sports Bar.
The tournament will also host a free junior clinic for the kids in Gulf Shores on Tuesday, March 5 at the Kiva Dunes Driving range from 4:15-5:15 p.m. The clinic is open to all kids interested in learning more about the game. The clinic will be conducted by Rea Schuessler and the Emerald Coast Tour professionals.
The Emerald Coast Tour is a developmental tour for guys trying to earn their PGA tour card. The tour has had over 25 PGA tour winners play on the tour. The Inaugural Kiva Dunes Pro Classic was won by Hunter Stewart and Michael Hebert, as they were declared co-champions. Stewart was the winner again last year and is expected to come back and defend his title. Michael Arnaud, who played last year, went on to win on the Web.com tour. Other Emerald Coast Tour alumni include: Boo Weekley; Joe Durant: Heath Slocum; Craig Perks; Patton Kizzire; Jerry Kelly ; George McNeil and two time Masters Champion Bubba Watson.

Kiva Dunes Pro Tour Championship Schedule
Tuesday March 5: Practice round at Kiva Dunes for touney players. Junior Clinic from 4:15 to 5:15; Kickoff party for the pros.
Wednesday March 6: First round of tourney beginning at Kiva Dunes at 8:30. Kickoff Classic party at the Kiva Dunes clubhouse at 6:30.
Thursday March 7: Pro Am day at Kiva Dunes. Shotgun start at 12:30. Second round of play for pros. Por-am party at the Village Hideaway.
Friday March 8: Third and final round of play beginning at 8:30. Awards presentation follows.
