Emilie Rattner to attend Junior Leaders Conference

Emilie Rattner from Gulf Shores will join outstanding middle school students from across the nation to take part in a unique academic and career-oriented development experience, Junior National Young Leaders Conference in Washington D.C.
Emilie was nominated by her 7th Grade Advanced Civics teacher at Gulf Shores Middle School to attend the conference. In addition to her academic successes, which also include selection to the National Junior Honor Society, Emilie is an avid writer and was recently appointed editor of the Gulf Shores Middle School Newspaper for the upcoming 2018-2019 school year.
In addition, she is a clarinet player with the school band and spearheads the community project Uniforms for Youth to provide school uniforms to families in need across Baldwin County.
The Junior National Young Leaders Conference is one of the Envision family of programs (envisionexperience. com) that enable students to explore their interests and experience learning beyond the classroom.
“These students, who have already proven themselves academically, will be challenged to work on real-world, student-created projects to bring their studies and career interests to life,” said Andrew Potter, the Chief Academic Officer for Envision.
