Gulf Coast Martial Arts owner guest instructor at national camp

Mark Barlow, owner and Head Instructor at Gulf Coast Martial Arts in Foley was the guest instructor at a Jujutsu national camp recently in Starkville. Students and instructors from five states attended the two day event which offered training from high ranked Black Belts from Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee. Barlow (above right) was the senior instructor present and taught a session on conflict avoidance and maintaining balance and control during an assault. A student of the martial arts for over forty years, Barlow teaches Japanese Jujutsu and Aikido at his dojo in Foley and oversees several schools scattered across the United States, Canada and the Caribbean.
