Meredyth Peterson is GSMS Teacher of the Year

Congratulations to Mrs. Meredyth Peterson for being named the 2017-2018 Gulf Shores Middle School Teacher of the Year. Meredyth has been a band director for ten years and in the Gulf Shores and Orange Beach area for the last five. She earned her BA in Music Education from Virigina Tech, and her Masters in Music Education from Indiana University. Petersen runs the beginning band programs at both Gulf Shores Elementary and Orange Beach Elementary, the band program at Gulf Shores Middle School, and she is the assistant band director at Gulf Shores High School.
