Miracle League has theme song & land for field in Summerdale

Coastal Alabama group’s goal now is to raise $1 million and start playing ball in 2018
Sandy Roots Music Production will produce the official theme song for the Miracle League of Coastal Alabama at the request of Pam Taylor, a board member of the Miracle League. Local songwriters and co-producers Nick Biebricher and Christina Christian and Nashville songwriter Sean Gasaway wrote the theme song, titled appropriately, “Little Miracles.” Christina Christian will sing the track, which will be recorded at Sandy Roots Storage Room Studio, under the direction of main producer, Justin Sable Fobes.
Miracle League is an organization providing an opportunity for children and adults with special needs and other developmental disabilities to play baseball on a field designed especially for them. The Gulf Shores Lions Club is the primary sponsor of the field planned for Summerdale.
“We were recently approved to build our field in Summerdale,’’ Taylor said. “We are in the initial stages of fundraising and we needed a theme song.” said.
The specialized baseball field will feature a cushioned, synthetic, rubberized surface that will eliminate any barriers to wheelchairs, walkers or other mobility devices. The complex will also include handicapped accessible dugouts, restrooms and drinking fountains as well as a boundless playground where children of all abilities can play together side by side.
The Miracle League’s motto is: “We cannot change or cure the medical issues life has dealt our children with disabilities. What we can do is provide them with an opportunity to experience the joy and benefits that come from playing America’s pastime, baseball!’’
Biebricher said Taylor and Christian have a long time relationship going back to when Taylor was Christina’s elementary school speech teacher
“We are grateful we were asked to be a part of this project,’’ Biebricher said. “When Pam approached Christina about writing the song, we both knew this was a great opportunity to show a local charity what we could do as writers and what our company could do from a commercial production standpoint. We asked our friend and co-writer Sean Gasaway to join as a writer and we wrote a great song we feel will boost their fundraising.
“When Pam said they loved the song, we offered an ‘at cost’ production deal,’’ Biebricher added. “They are very grateful for our help and we are all equally proud to be a part of the project.”
