Ocean Camp welcomes Scale Back participants at LuLu’s

Ocean Camp welcomed Scale Back Alabama participants to LuLu’s Gulf Shores for lunch and entertainent from Sherie Coyne, a popular zumba coach.
LuLu’s Gulf Shores offered delicious grilled seafood and vegetables for an event designed to celebrate healthy lifestyles and healthy food. Many thanks to Lucy Buffett and Gabrielle Barnett for the offer. Restaurant staff members Lydia Mee, Cheryl, Dustin and Kyle showed excellent service to see that the event went perfectly. Coyne is quite the dancer, loved by many and instructs a variety of seventeen classes at the Bodenhamer Recreation Center in Gulf Shores.
Ocean Camp is a children’s marine education non-profit entering its seventh year with field trips, camps & community events along the Alabama gulf coast. Director/Educator Belinda Ringpfeil stated,
“Families and children are important to our communities. We hope providing activities to promote marine science while in our environment, will ensure the next generation respects our natural resources. There’s a reason we call this area Paradise.
Spring Break March 27-31 and Summer camp registration begins in March 2017. Multiple themed programs for ages 5-12 are offered the first three weeks of June through July 28 with a break June 24-July 10. Themes include animal explorers, scientists explorers, shark, dolphin and ocean explorers plus new this year, Ocean Rescue. Students ages 13-15 may apply to become counselors-in-training and gain job experience plus have fun learning. For more information on, visit oceancamp.camp.
