Registration open for June 25-29 Zoo Camp

Zoo Camp brings fun and education together for an unforgettable week at the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo. Open to 5- to 11-year olds, Zoo Camp will start on Monday, June 25 and continue through Friday, June 29, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The cost is $175 for each camp attendee.
Supervised by licensed teachers, campers will explore animal life here at the Zoo, partake in animal enrichment activities, meet our zoo keepers and even greet some of our animal residents personally.
Teachers Wanted
The Zoo needs ten volunteer teachers. Each volunteer teacher receives free registration for up to two children at Zoo Camp. In addition, each teacher receives a one-year family membership to the Zoo. Teachers must be licensed in either Alabama or Florida.
Earn volunteer hours as a camp counselor
The Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo is also seeking individuals who want to inspire children to study, love, and protect animals and the environment. Volunteer counselors assist teachers with crafts, games and animals as the campers explore the animal world at our zoo. Counselors receive a friendship membership and a certificate for volunteer hours to meet school requirements. Counselors must be at least 14 years old. The Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo is home to more than 600 exotic animals including lions, tigers, macaws, reptiles, kangaroos, lemurs, sloths to name just a few.
