Registration open for June 19-23 Zoo Camp

Join the wild side at the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo through Zoo Camp. Offered to elementary school age children from 5 to 11. Zoo Camp is held Mon., June 19 through Fri., June 23. It is conducted by licensed teachers and trained instructors in full-day sessions, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
Campers will explore animal life at the Zoo, partake in animal enrichment activities, meet our zoo keepers, and even greet some of our animal residents personally. They will also participate in age-specific games, arts and crafts projects and special zoo-related events like scavenger hunts and fun food preparation for animals. There will be plenty of hands-on educational and fun activities carried out in a safe and educational environment.
Zoo Camp is a collaborative effort within our community to create a rewarding, educational, and fun experience for everyone. Registration forms are available on the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo website, www.alabamagulfcoastzoo.org or by calling the zoo at (251) 968-5732.
The Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo is operated by a non-for-profit corporation, Zoo Foundation, Inc., based in Gulf Shores, Ala. which helps preserve wildlife as well as educates the public about various and diverse species. The Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo is home to more than 500 exotic animals including lions, tigers, bears, macaws, reptiles, and more! It also features a petting zoo, seasonal animal encounters, and interactive animals shows during the spring and summer.
