SALT Opens At SanRoc Cay
The Coastal Alabama Chamber recently held a ribbon cutting for SALT, a new restaurant from Chef Chris Sherrill at San Roc Cay in Orange Beach. Sherrill and his staff are excited to put on the plate what makes Alabama cuisine so amazing, with a huge focus on Alabama Gulf Seafood, Sherrill has shined a spotlight on underutilized seafood species through his work with the NUISANCE Group. He’s competed in the Great American Seafood Cook-Off, World Food Championships, and the Zatarain’s Restaurant Challenge. He just returned from a culinary diplomacy tour in Africa and even represented our state and country at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
Sherrill also plans to open up a second restaurant at SanRoc later this month. The Beach Street Bistro wil be a breakfast and lunch restaurant and specialize in all Alabama products catered toward a breakfast/lunch setting.
