Sandy Roots Songwriters Series continues July 18
Emily Stuckey, Destiny Brown, Kristan Mikala will be featured

Gerald Smith, Davis Corley, Emily Stuckey, Destiny Brown, Nicholas Nace and Kristan Mikala will play original music in the round on July 18 in the courtyard at the Point Restaurant on Innerarity Point beginning at 6 p.m. The concert is part of host Nick Biebricher’s Sandy Roots Songwriters Series, a yearlong original music series to be held the third Tuesday of each month at the Point. The shows last approximately three hours. Cover charge is $5.
A three hour open mic night for local original songwriters will follow each showcase. Biebricher said the series will give local singer/songwriters the opportunity to showcase their talents with singer/songwriters from around the southeast.

Pictured: Destiny Brown is a country/Americana musician originally from Selma, Ala. She was raised with a musical background and picked up the guitar at 9 and began writing her own lyrics. She graduated from Auburn University in 2012, where she spent her college years playing the Auburn music circuit, and learning the ropes to performing music for an audience. Destiny has had the opportunity to play at venues from the world-famous Bluebird Cafe in Nashville to the world-famous Flora Bama in Perdido Key and she has performed at many music festivals and venues across the southeast. She is currently playing her music on the Gulf Coast and is a features editor for Gulf Coast Media.
