Songwriters Shootout final round Oct. 24 at The Hot Spot

The final round of the 3rd Annual Gulf Coast Songwriter Shootout will be held at The Hot Spot Music & Grub at The Wharf on Oct. 24. Admission is free, and the evening begins with writers’ round featuring Shootout host Destiny Brown, event founders Melissa Joiner and Nick Biebricher, and Christina Christian.
Shootout judges Anthony Crawford, Travis Meadows and Lynn Langham will perform a special celebrity songwriter round on Oct. 23 beginning at 6 p.m. Bo Roberts, Doug Gill and Rock Killough will also perform their hit songs and share stories that evening. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door.
Produced by Sandy Roots Music, the Shootout has a prize package worth around $10,000, including $3,000 cash donated by Hot Spot owner Bobby Graves. The event’s five preliminary rounds featured 50 singer-songwriters weened from 120 submissions from across the region. For more info, visit GulfCoastSongwriterShootout.com.
