Competitive angling, fresh-fried mullet and tasty sides, kid-friendly activities, live music, and lively prizes combine for a day of fun for a good cause on Saturday, October 27.
The fifth annual St. Paul’s Episcopal Chapel Speckled Trout Invitational includes a Weigh-In Party and Fish Fry with live music from 2-5 p.m. All events are open to the public, and you or someone you love (or love to tease) could be the fishing rodeo queen.
Ballot boxes for the Queen contest are taking votes at Jesse’s Restaurant and in St. Paul’s Parish Hall, 14755 Oak Street, Magnolia Springs, AL 36555.
Entry and sponsor forms are available for download from stpaulsms.org. For more information, visit stpaulsms.org, call St. Paul’s at 251-965-7452 or email admin@stpaulsms.org.
Presenting sponsors so far this year are: Dykes Veterinary Clinic, Freeman Collision Center, and Remembering SGM Michael Hester. Additional sponsors include Salter-3C’s Construction.
St. Paul’s, located across from Jesse’s Restaurant is on the National Register of Historic Places. The tourney is its annual major fundraising event.
