Aiden Holdsworth earns the first Marjorie Maiden Ryals Scholarship

Belle Fountain Land Company presented the first ever Marjorie Maiden Ryals Floriculture Scholarship during Gulf Shores High School Senior Awards Day on April 22. The inaugural scholarship was presented to Aidan Holdsworth, a senior with a strong passion for floriculture and environmental stewardship.
The scholarship was established to honor Marjorie Maiden Ryals, a beloved Gulf Shores resident whose lifelong dedication to planting, gardening, and beautifying the land has made a lasting impact on her community. Her deep love for nature and her passion for creating beauty through flowers and foliage continue to inspire those around her.
The scholarship will be awarded annually to a graduating senior who demonstrates a strong interest in floriculture, land stewardship, or related fields values that Marjorie has modeled throughout her life.
“This scholarship is incredibly personal to me. It celebrates my mother’s lifelong love of gardening and her belief in the beauty and value of the natural world,” said Stacey Ryals. “We hope it inspires young people to care for the land with the same joy, creativity, and heart that she continues to share with all of us.”
Students with an interest in floriculture, forestry management, landscaping, or farming are encouraged to apply for future awards. The scholarship is one way Belle Fountain Land Company hopes to support the next generation of land stewards. More info: 251-747-0097 or staceyryals@gmail. com.
