Alabama is 45th “happiest’”state in USA; Hawaii tops list

Alabama is the 45th happiest state in the country, ahead of only Kentucky, Alaska, Arkansas, Louisiana and West Virginia, according to Wallet Hub website, which used a combination of kety metrics that included fun activities, cost-of-living and economic uncertainty, emotional, physical and social health, depression rates, income growth and the unemployment rate. Hawaii, New Jersey, Utah, Idaho and Maryland were named the happiest states. “Having enough money to live comfortably is still essential. But anything beyond that won’t necessarily enhance happiness as much as having fulfilling hobbies and relationships,” said Chip Lupo, WalletHub analyst.
