Alligators & Ale Music Fest & BBQ postponed to May 1

Due to the weather, the 12th Annual Alligators & Ale Music Fest and BBQ Cookoff, a fundraiser for the Sunset Rotary Club, was postponed to May 1.

The event was originally scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 3 from 10 a.m. ’til 5 p.m. at Alligator Alley in Summerdale.

“After careful consideration and consultation with the National Weather Service, we have made the decision to POSTPONE the 12th Annual Alligators & Ale to May 1, 2027,” organizers posted on the Central Baldwin Sunset Rotary Facebook page. “The safety of our attendees, cook teams, performers, volunteers, and Rotarians is our top priority. While we’re disappointed to wait a little longer, we’re excited to have extra time to plan even more crazy fun for our community! Thank you for your understanding and continued support. Mark your calendars, we can’t wait to see you May 1!”

Proceeds support disadvantaged children, military veterans, scholarships and community non-profits.

Alligator Alley owner Wes Moore will showcase his alligators in a demonstration (11 a.m.) and at 11:00, and River Dan Band, Sugarcane Jane, Chitlin Switch and Wes Loper will play music. BBQ tasting of ribs will start at 11 a.m. Tickets are $45 and children 12 and under are admitted free. Tickets available at the gate or at zeffy.com.
