AVCA Championship largest collegiate beach tourney in country
Event set to return to Gulf Shores Public Beach through 2028

Small College Championships was largest co Tampa beat Concordia University Irvine to capture the Division II crown, Mary Hardin-Baylor defeated Berry to earn their second-straight Division III national title, and the Webber Warriors defeated the University of Mobile to win their fourth-straight NAIA title at the AVCA Small College Beach Championships at Gulf Shores Public Beach April 17-19.
The tourney is the largest collegiate beach volleyball event in the country, as 33 teams (18 Division II schools, 9 Division III schools and 6 NAIA schools) competed in 455 total matches during the championship weekend. The AVCA Small College Beach Volleyball Championships, held for its first six years at Hickory Point Beach in Tavares, FL, is scheduled to return to Gulf Shores through 2027.
