Boat catches fire at Safe Harbor Marina in O.B.

Officials are still investigating the cause of a boat fire that caught fire while docked at the Safe Harbor Sportsman Marina off Canal Road in Orange Beach on June 29. The fire was reported at 4:17 p.m. and two people were treated for minor injuries at the SBRMC Emergency Center in Gulf Shores and released.
Despite firefighting efforts, the fire reignited several times, posing a threat to the dock and nearby boats, according to reports. Orange Beach Fire Chief Jeff Smith reported the fire extinguished by 4:39 p.m.
