Canal Rd. Closed Thru June 26 Near Waterways Bridge

Due to the ongoing construction of the Intracoastal Waterway Bridge between Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, a portion of Canal Road will be closed from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 24-26. The closure will allow crews to safely place large bridge girders over the roadway. Detour signs will direct drivers to use County Road 4 (Cotton Creek Drive) as an alternate route. The bridge is scheduled to be completed by summer of 2026.
