Candidate forums Aug. 6, 7 & 12

The 1819 News will host a 60 minute Orange Beach mayoral debate on Aug. 12 at the Orange Beach Event Center, and the South Baldwin Common Sense Campaign will host a city council forum on Aug. 6 and mayoral forum on Aug. 7 at the Erie Meyer Civic Center.
The meet & greet starts at 5:30 p.m. and the main event and debate starts at 7 p.m. in Orange Beach. The Gulf Shores’ forums both start at 6 p.m.
The Orange Beach debate between incumbent mayor Tony Kennon and current city councilman Jeff Boyd is a ticketed event, but tickets are free and were still available on July 20. There is a limit two per registrant ticket limit. Bryan Dawson, CEO of 1819 News, will emcee the event and editor-in-chief Jeff Poor will moderate the debate.
