Career tech high school will open for Baldwin students in 2024

The Baldwin County Public School System announced plans to build a career tech high school in Robertsdale for juniors and seniors in time for the 2024 school year. The school will offer on-the-job industry training and dual enrollment for career tech and college courses as well as core classes. It will also have multiple collaborations with local businesses such as Airbus, and Austal.
“You take all your classes there but you also get to work in a field that you are interested in; bio-medical, diesel mechanics, automobile industry, healthcare, cosmetology, cyber-security,” said BCSD Superintendent Eddie Tyler. “The workforce is aging so we decided to do something about it. We think it’s a game-changer for workforce development.”
