Christian Music is Alabama’s most common radio format, accounting for 23% of stations. Modern country ranks second (13%), followed by Top 40 / Hit Music (9%). The rise of Alabama-born country artist Ella Langley reflects the continued strength and cultural momentum of country music in the state. Hard rock and dance / rhythmic pop are among the least represented genres (both .53%).
