Coastal Triathlon Sept. 6 at Gulf Place

Registration is open for the 18th annual Brett/Robinson Alabama Coastal Triathlon scheduled on Sept. 6 at Gulf Place Public Beach in Gulf Shores. The nearby Hangout is the official host and the event offers eight options that include triathlon sprint and Olympic distances, swim-bike, bike-run and relays to allow athletes at all levels to participate. Packet pickup is Sept. 5 at The Hangout from 4-6:30 p.m., and race day from 5:30-6:30 a.m.
The triathlon starts at 7 a.m., and the Tri-It-On short course race starts at 7:50 a.m. Register at trisignup.com.
