Dave Roever to speak at The Island Church on Nov. 25

Christian Life the Island Church will be hosting special guest Dave Roever on Sunday, November 25 during both 8:30 a.m.and 10 a.m. services. The church is located at 25550 Canal Rd. in Orange Beach (251-967-4840).
Dave (pictured) is a hero of the faith, called to ministry as a teen, and a decorated Vietnam veteran of solid character. At the height of the Vietnam War, he joined the U. S. Navy and served as a river boat gunner in the elite Brown Water Black Beret — until tragedy occurred. His survival and ensuing life with his faithful wife at his side are miraculous. A superb multi-generational speaker, Dave Roever travels the globe, sharing his gripping testimony with engaging humor, imparting hope in the face of seemingly insurmountable obstacles, and delivering the Word of God with convincing power. God uses Dave’s ministry in churches, crusades, youth and men’s conventions, and in the “marketplace” — in public schools, business conventions and with the U. S. military world-wide, including war zones such as Kosovo, Iraq, and Afghanistan.
Mr. Roever and team reach out to the people of Vietnam via multiple projects. Since 2007, at the organization’s Eagles Summit Ranch facilities in Westcliffe, Colorado, and in Junction, Texas, and at other excellent facilities, Dave Roever and his team help to restore hope, provide keys for success, and train today’s wounded warriors to have meaningful futures or for Christian ministry, through Operation Warrior RECONnect.
Dave and wife Brenda have a son and daughter and four grandchildren. He has won the Purple Heart & other service medals and was named The Outstanding Civilian Service Medal, by the US Department of the Army in April of 2012 (More info: DaveRoever.org).
