Dream On – A Tribute To Classic Rock June 26-28 in O.B.

The Expect Excellence Music Department is performing another new and high-powered version of “Dream On – A Tribute to Classic Rock” from June 26-28 at the Orange Beach Performing Arts Center. Don’t miss out on this low-dough-show where tickets are only $15 and all seating is general admission.

The new 24-song setlist will include classic rock favorites from the 70s-90s. This summer’s original production will make your heart pound by bringing a great collection of rock classics to life on stage. During the two-hour rock show you will feel as if you have been transported back in time to when you jammed out and played air guitar to these songs when hearing them on the radio.
A group of about 40 people from throughout the community “have been working hard at rehearsals to really get these songs down,” according to Expect Excellence Music Director Caleb Pittman. This show is an invitation to hear great songs from “Here I Go Again” – Whitesnake to “Jump” – Van Halen and a whole lot more exciting music in between.
“This show is just a blast,” Pittman declared. “The talent of our community is insane, and to see them performing some of the greatest songs of all time – live, is an experience no one should miss.”
One of Pittman’s favorites from this year’s song line up is Rush’s “Tom Sawyer.”
“It is a very complex song with constant time changes and technical instrumental elements,” he said. He welcomed the challenges this song presented, adding “It’s a song that you know from the very first note, so you better nail it!”
