Emerald Coast Pro Golf Tour at Kiva Dunes March 7-9

The Emerald Coast Golf Tour will start its 2018 season in Gulf Shores at the beautiful Kiva Dunes Golf Club March 7-9 at Kiva Dunes Golf Club. The 54 hole event starts at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 7 for the professionals, and there is no charge to watch the pros from the gallery.
The Pro-Am on for all amateurs to play with the PGA stars of the future is on March 8. The tournament will also host a free junior clinic for the kids in Gulf Shores on Tuesday March 6 at the Kiva Dunes Driving range from 4:15-5:15 p.m. for all kids interested in learning more about the game. The clinic will be conducted by Rea Schuessler and the Emerald Coast Tour professionals.
The Emerald Coast Tour is a developmental tour for guys trying to earn their PGA tour card. Local Nick Rousey of Pensacola is expected to play as is Wilson McDonald and Robby Shelton of Mobile. The tour has had over 25 PGA tour winners play on the tour. The Inaugural Kiva Dunes Pro Classic was won by Hunter Stewart and Michael Hebert who were declared co-champions.
Alumni players who made it to the big tour include Boo Weekley; Joe Durant: Heath Slocum; Craig Perks; Jerry Kelly and two time Masters Champion Bubba Watson.

Emerald Coast Gulf Tour Schedule at Kiva Dunes
Tuesday March 6:
– Practice round at Kiva Dunes for all players.
– Junior Clinic from 4:15 to 5:15.
– Kickoff party at Village Hideaway at the Beach Club at 7:00
Wednesday, March 7:
– First round of play at Kiva Dunes startaing at 8:30.
– Kickoff Classic party at Kiva Dunes clubhouse at 6:30
– (All pro am players and sponsors and their guests invited).
Thursday March 8:
– Pro Am day at Kiva Dunes with a shotgun start at 12:30
– Second round of play for the professionals (54 hole event).
– Lunch for all players in the tournament starting at 11:15.
– Awards presentation to the winners after play in clubhouse.
Friday March 9:
– Third and final round of play beginning at 8:30.
– Awards presentation will be in the clubhouse following play.
