FBISF Autism Awareness Concert & Auction Nov. 10 at Sunset Cork Room

Organizers are already securing various items and gift certificates for the The Frank Brown International Songwriters Fest, Autism Awareness Night and Silent Auction hosted by Nina Martin at the Sunset Cork Room in conjunction with Autism Pensacola on November 10.
Bidding on the wonderful donations will begin on Nov. 2 and continue until 8 p.m. on concert night, which promises to be filled with music for a great cause, said event chair Patsy Anne Stout.
Autism Pensacola is a nonprofit serving the families surrounding the Pensacola, Gulf Shores area. Its mission is to educate the general public about Autism. And provide a support network for parents and professionals.
“Our mission with this Silent Auction is to provide opportunities for local children the opportunity to attend summer camp and other enriching activities,’’ Stout said. “It is our hope with love and compassion to give them a voice of empowerment to be able to contribute back to the community.’
“I sincerely thank each and every one of our generous donors from the bottom of my heart,’’ she added.

FBISF will celebrate its 37th year bringing original music to 24 venues on Pleasure Island, Perdido Key and its surrounding communities Nov. 4-14. Besides giving seasoned and aspiring songwriters and musicians from all over the world a chance to have their songs heard, the fest gives Gulf Coast audiences a chance to learn the stories behind the lyrics.
