First Presbyterian of Gulf Shores Welcomes New Minister

The Congregation of the First Presbyterian Church of Gulf Shores has called Rev. Christina (Chrisy) Ennen as Minister of the church, effective August 1, 2020. Rev. Ennen is from Greenville, Illinois, and brings a wide array of education and experience to this position. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and a Master of Business Administration, both from Greenville College; a Master of Arts, Leadership & Ministry from Southern Illinois University and a Master of Divinity from the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary. In 2019, she served as a Pastoral Intern at the First Presbyterian Church of Edwardsville, Illinois, assisting in the leadership of the 275-member church. For the past six years, Chrisy has served as Growth and Nurture Leader at the First Presbyterian Church of Greenville, where she has been responsible for leading the Congregation in both outreach and spiritual growth, including Christian Education/Youth Group leadership and implementation of Summer Program development.
Chrisy enjoys interacting with people of all generations. The daughter of a Minister, pastoral care comes naturally to her. She has keen interest in the field of mental health, fueled by a desire to help people navigate life and reach their goals. Chrisy is involved
in the health and wellness field, and has been a PiYo instructor (Pilates-Yoga) She is a blogger (Daughter of the King), an avid reader, and enjoys walking on the beach.
Having vacationed here in past years, Chrisy and her husband, Mike, are familiar with our city and are very much looking forward to becoming actively engaged in Gulf Shores. They are accustomed to being an integral part of their hometown community and schools. Rev. Ennen will begin leading the church’s virtual service on August 9.
