Foley Finance Dept. earns top award

The Foley Finance Department received the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award from the Government Finance Officers Assn of the United States and Canada for the sixth-consecutive year, reflecting the staff’s commitment to meeting the highest principles of governmental budgeting.
In order to receive the budget award, the entity had to satisfy nationally recognized guidelines for effective budget presentation. Foley has also received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for 11 years. The city has also received the Award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Report five times. The GFOA has presented all three awards to Foley in the same year, a distinction referred to as “the triple crown,” for five years.
