The lineup includes Fly By Radio on Sept. 4, Chubby Carrier & The Bayou Swamp Band on Sept. 11, The M-80’s on Sept. 18 and Woodbox Heros on Sept. 25.
Fly-By Radio is a show band from Tuscaloosa with multiple vocalists. Their set will include 70’s tunes and current hits.
Chubby Carrier & The Bayou Swamp Band are zydeco royalty. Chubby’s father Roy Carrier, and grandfather Warren Carrier were established Zydeco musicians that Chubby would watch in awe during band practices. Chubby started playing drums with Terrence Simien when he was 17 and has been a mainstay on the zydeco circuit ever since then.
The M-80s is a Birmingham band that will play ‘80s rock and pop hits. Think big hair and even bigger anthems.
The Wood Box Heroes are an American acoustic supergroup, which is hardly anything like the bluegrass music you used to find in the cassette player of your grandad’s old Chevy pick-up truck.
Deeply rooted in tradition, the band melts together an eclectic array of sounds from the country, bluegrass, blues, jazz, rock and classical influncces. This unit has over a century of musical seasoning accompanying a spectrum of the top artists in the business. Plus they are crafty and authentic songwriters. In fact, this show serves as a preview to the Frank Brown International Songwriters Festival scheduled at venues on Pleasure Island, Lillian, Perdido Key, Innerarity Point and Pensacola from Nov. 6-16.
