Friends of the Foley Public Library Annual Book Sale Feb. 6-8

The Friends of the Foley Library Book Sale will be held Feb. 6-8 at the Foley Civic Center, located at 319 E. Laurel Ave. in downtown Foley. All of the proceeds help fund the Foley Public Library. The event includes a preview sale for Friends of the Library members only on Thursday, February 6 from 1-4 p.m. Patrons can join the Friends ($15 for families and $10 for single memberships) at the preview party. Public hours are on Friday, Feb. 7 are 9 a.m. ‘til 5 p.m. The sale is open from 9 am. ‘til noon on Saturday, Feb. 8. In addition, Saturday is $5 Bag Day. Fill a Tanger Shopping Bag with as many as it will hold for only $5. The sale features roughly 12 thousand books, 100’s of music CDs and DVDs plus assortments of audio books, CD ROMs, vinyl records and other media. It’s easily the biggest, most varied selection of books and media under one roof in Baldwin County. Items for sale cover banquet tables that fill the entire main hall of the Foley Civic Center.
The items are displayed in rough groupings by category with additional boxes to rummage through. Books are hardbacks and paperbacks in excellent condition in most categories including science fiction, art, children’s, pop fiction, cooking, history, biography and large format photo volumes. All items are marked at a fraction of original retail. All sales are cash only.
