G.S. Lions Club presents Alyson Hart Melvin Jones Fellowship

Gulf Shores Lions Club member Alyson Hart was presented the Lions International Melvin Jones Fellowship Award at the club’s July 10 meeting at the Gulf Shores Activity Center. The Melvin Jones Fellowship is named after the founder of Lions International and is presented to those who contribute greatly to humanity and the legacy of the club’s founder.
“On behalf of the entire club, it is my pleasure to present this award to recognize Alyson for her outstanding work and service to our club and our community,’’ said club president Rick Conway. “We are very fortunate to have her on our team. She has truly made a difference in our club and our community.’’

The Lion’s Club focus is not only “To Serve,” but to raise awareness of diabetes, preserve sight, and provide service to those who have already lost – or never had – the ability to see. In addition, The Gulf Shores Lions Club spearheaded the formidable effort to build a Miracle League Diamond which will break ground in Summerdale within the next two months.
