GSPD Citizens Academy registration open

Forget donuts-and-coffee clichés and TV crime-scene glamor. For a real hands-on, behind-the-scenes experience with the Gulf Shores Police Department, register for the GSPD Police Academy. Classes will be held on Tuesdays from 6-9 p.m. from Sept. 30-Nov. 18 at police headquarters.
Topics such as Alabama law, the functions of the police department, patrol operations, investigations, law enforcement technologies and community relations including demonstrations by the K9 unit and SWAT Team. This us an opportunity to put your arm chair detective skills to the test as attendees will examine actual GSPD investigations.
