Gulf Shores High Visual Arts Students Win Numerous Awards
Students in the Gulf Shores High School visual arts program had a banner award year, earning ribbons in contests that included The Baldwin County High School Art Show, the Night of the Arts Talent Show, the VFW Patriotic National Youth in Art Contest, and the Zydeco Festival Youth in Art Contest. “We always have great years winning awards, but this year at least one of our students has won every award contest we have entered, and we couldn’t enter all of the contests this year,’’ said program sponsor Austin Boyd. “As always, I am so proud of our students and the fine arts program at GSHS and I congratulate not just our winners, but everyone in our program, because they contribute to each other in many ways.’’
GSHS award winning artists included: County Show: Best in Show – Lilliana Betz; Excellence Awards – Addison Bullard, Carlee Spellman, Guilia DeSouza and Victoria Williams; Merit Awards – Kylee Kubat and Samantha Higgins.
