Gulf Shores Hires Director Of Planning
Gulf Shores hired Lee Jones to fill the position of Director of Planning & Community Development. In his new role, Jones will be responsible for the programs of planning, community development and community redevelopment. Additional responsibilities will include providing leadership and guidance over strategic planning, long range planning, zoning and development, and subdivision activities for the City. Jones comes to Gulf Shores with nearly 20 years of experience in urban and regional planning, urban design, transportation and zoning. He received his Bachelors of Landscape Architecture from Mississippi State and a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science from Southern Miss. Shores and raising our four children in such a close-knit, picturesque community.” Jones will begin his duties as Director of Planning & Community Development immediately.
