The Coastal Alabama Business Chamber recently presented the Island Spirit Award to Harley Goodreau of the Dollar Tree at Pelican Place in Gulf Shores. Harley’s nomination had this to say about him, “Harley is a combination of pitchman and game show host. No one enters the store without hearing him say “Welcome to Dollar Tree” in a most official voice. He will ask if you need assistance finding something and will lead you to it and even suggest additional items. During checkout he walks you through the procedure like a life coach. It’s a pleasure to experience a worker making the best of their job and making a shopper’s visit memorable.
