Historian will speak at Aug. 9 BCGS meeting

Local historian Claudia Slaughter Campbell will speak at the Aug. 9 meeting of the Baldwin County Genealogical Society at 10 a.m. in the Foley Public Library meeting room. Meetings are open to the public. RSVP to BaldwinGenealogy@gmail. com
Slaughter Campbell was born and raised in the home built in 1890 by her great grandfather Howell William Slaughter. She has managed Fr. Mims for almost 15 years. Her dutied includes planning and participating in the annual reenactment. Her present- ation will discuss a few outstanding men in the Tensaw Country during the early to mid-1800’s.
