Holy Spirit Catholic Church Breaks Ground For New Childcare Facility
Parishioners and clergy of The Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit gathered on to celebrate the groundbreaking of an expansion to their current facilities; a vision they see as building the Catholic community of tomorrow. The new construction will include a daycare facility which will serve infants through children age four. One of greatest needs, not just within the Parish, but in the local community, is the need for childcare for working parents. Currently, the few childcare facilities that serve the area, frequently have extensive waiting lists. The planned 4,000 square feet faith based child development center will serve the growing needs of Southwest Pensacola and Perdido.
Construction of the new facility is targeted for a 2018 first-quarter completion. The total cost of the project is estimated at $2,750,000 which includes all design costs as well as furnishings. To fund the project, the Parish is embarking upon a capital campaign entitled “Building the Catholic Community of Tomorrow” to raise the money over a three-year time period. Holy Spirit Catholic Church is a church community committed to extending the love of God and continuing its mission of reaching out to God and to others. The new childcare facility will allow for the continuation of the church’s ministries in reaching out to the community.
