Holy Spirit Thrift Store Grants To CSC & Wilmer Hall Total $36K

Holy Spirit Thrift Shop awarded a $20,000 grant to Christian Service Center (above) and a $15,000 grant to Wilmer Hall Children’s Home (below). The grants were funded by thrift shop sales. Wilmer Hall is a non-profit faith-based organization that serves children and young adults in need in Mobile through programs that provide tutoring, on-campus living and other tools needed to succeed. The Christian Service Center provides emergency funds for people experiencing a financial emergency on Pleasure Island. The center’s case workers also help clients develop more permanent solutions to meet their financial needs. The center also offers counseling and assists with referrals to additional resources. It opened in 1991 and is staffed by volunteers. The Holy Spirit Thrift Shop is a ministry of Holy Spirit Episcopal Church in Gulf Shores. The shop is located at 6798A Hwy. 59 North in Gulf Shores.
