HoodStock Fest raises $20K for Frank Brown Music Foundation

Playa del Rio RV Resort owner and HoodStock Music Fest founder Mark McBride presented a check for $20,000 to the Frank Brown Music Fest Foundation during the opening night of the fest. McBride hosted Hoodstock at his RV park in May. The the $20,000 included funds generated from ticket sales, a silent auction and raffle and merchandise sales, as well as donations from sponors. “It was very cool and special to present it on the opening night of the fest in the main room,’’ McBride said. “We created HoodStock in five days. I believe the reason it will become a very successful annual event is because the music and songwriter community got behind a great event for a great cause.’’
