Jacob VanSickler is named G.S. Firefighter of the Quarter

The City of Gulf Shores recently recognized firefighter/paramedic Jacob VanSickler (pictured) as Firefighter of the Quarter. VanSickler began his career as a beach lifeguard. Since his hiring, Jacob has had an exemplary career. He spends countless hours reviewing EMS reports, is a member of the Gulf Shores SWAT Team and has proven time and again that he can be trusted to carry out any task he is assigned. Jacob continually has a positive attitude regardless of the situation that he is placed in.
Firefighter-Paramedic VanSickler’s actions are a testament to his character and dedication to those around him. Words and awards cannot adequately represent the appreciation of the City of Gulf Shores or the Gulf Shores Fire-Rescue Department.
