The John Martin Davis Band (pictured above) really got serious after John Martin Davis appeared on season 13 of American Idol. Much of his music influence is based in southern Bluegrass and Gospel, with strong influence from bands such as the Allman Brothers and Phish. After graduating from the University of Mobile with a Worship Leadership degree, John Martin found his love in song writing and playing gigs all over the Alabama Gulf Coast. His little brother, Daniel Davis, picked up the banjo and starting pickin with him in 2013, and the two started playing and writing together. Daniel’s blues influence really adds a unique vibe to their songs.
Kelly West is a South Baldwin County native who began her art career designing tattoos at Counter Culture soon after high school and she still does design work and tattoos at David’s Gallery. She honed her style, using a pallete knife or a brush to create art that is impressionistic with bold strikes of color, while living and loving nature in Montana for 10 years.
She has traded mountainscapes for beach scenes and wildlife for sea life since returning to the Gulf Coast. But she still loves working on both wild animal and pet portraits.
