Legion Post 99 hosts June 29 fundraiser for Sonny Weeks

American Legion Post 99 in Foley will host a fund raiser on Saturday, June 29 beginning at 4 p.m. for Foley resident Sonny Weeks (pictured). Sonny was was diagnosed with Stage 4 bone cancer and is currently unable to work while he is undergoing radiation treatments. Spaghetti dinners complete with salad and dessert will besold for $10 per plate.
“We need community support to help this family through some difficult times,’’ said Post 99’s Chris Carver. The fundraiser will also include a rum basket raffle and live music from Crossfire beginning at 6:30 p.m. Post 99 is located at 2101 S. McKenzie St. (Hwy. 59) in Foley.
