Literacy Council to host summer STEM summer workshops in Foley
The South Baldwin Literacy Council will host morning and afternoon STEAM Wonder Workshop in June and July giving elementary school students an opportunity to dive into the world of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) through LEGO challenges that spark curiosity and critical thinking.
The workshops will be held at the SBLC Foley campus (21441 Hwy. 98), where students will build and operate different LEGO creations.
The one-week stand alone sessions are open to all grades. The curriculum repeats each week, so students should only register for one session. Each lesson includes STEM components to create a well-rounded, hands-on learning experience. Cost is $108.55 and scholarships are available. Register at eventbrite.com. Contact Krissy May for more info at 251-850-3967 or kristin@southbaldwinliteracycouncil.com
