May 27 fireworks part of OWA Memorial Weekend fun

OWA Parks & Resort will honor our nation’s veterans and kick off summer vacation with a Memorial weekend-long event filled with fun, excitement, and patriotism. OWA will be decorated in red, white, and blue to honor those who have fought for our country and to celebrate the start of summer.
On Friday, May 26 beginning at 4 p.m., visitors can kick off the summer with a foam truck party, a historical scavenger hunt and lawn games. Tropic Falls will host a Dive In Movie Night from 6-8 p.m. at Big Water Bay, where they will be screening Moana on the massive 48 foot LED Screen.
On Saturday and Sunday, there will be special performers from street dancers to local bands and musicians on OWA Island, including the Velcro Pygmies! And don’t miss the fireworks on Saturday, May 27 beginning at 8:50 p.m.
With the exception of the dive in movie inside Tropic Falls, this event is free to attend.
Saturday will also feature live music from The Defrosters at 5 p.m. and Velcro Pygmies at 7 p.m. Meredith Hicks will play at 5 p.m. and Wes Loper at p.m. on OWA Island on Sunday.
