Mobile Bay Ferry departs 11 times daily from Ft. Morgan

The Mobile Bay Ferry is open and running daily on a two ferry schedule for its 40 minute boat trips between Ft. Morgan to Dauphin Island. The ferries depart Fort Morgan 11 times daily beginning at 8:45 a.m. Cost is $18 for cars, trucks and vans. The additional $6 per person charge for those six and over covers all ferry trips on the same day. There is a $5 discount if you return on the same day.
e ask that travelers be at the dock at least 30 minutes to 1 hour prior to departure.
Mobile Bay Ferry operates on a first come, first served basis. No reservations allowed. During busy summer months, you should build an extra two hours into your schedule to accommodate the heavy ferry use and potential vehicle screening.
Check the company website for fees associated with other vehichles and trailers. RVs 25 feet and vehicles with low ground clearance allowed on the first ferry.
The Dauphin Island Sea Lab is open for tours and there are several restaurants ner the ferry landing. Dauphin Island also has a bike path that runs the length of its beach road and the Audubon Bird Sanctuary, which includes a three-mile trail within its 137 acres of maritime forest, marshes and dunes.
The historic Civil War forts, Fort Morgan and Fort Gaines, are both a short walk from the ferry landings.
