Mulligans to play at April 22 Bald Eagle Bash in Fairhope

The 8th annual Bald Eagle Bash fundraiser for the Weeks Bay Foundation will be held on April 22 from 4-7 p.m. at the waterfront Tonsmeire Weeks Bay Resource Center at the Fish River Bridge on U.S. Highway 98 in Fairhope.
Enjoy a taste of Weeks Bay featuring fresh Gulf shrimp prepared by top local restaurants with live music by The Mulligan Brothers. Tickets are $40 in advance or $45 at the gate. Entry is free for children 10 and under. Free parking is available at the Weeks Bay Reserve Safe Harbor site, with BRATS shuttles providing transportation to the event. Beverages are included in the price of admission.
Tickets for the event are available at BaldEagleBash.com, at Page and Palette in Fairhope, the Weeks Bay Reserve Visitors Center, and the Weeks Bay Foundation office. Call 251-990-5004 for more info.
The event brings a dozen area restaurants together to create dishes based on delicious gulf shrimp. Some of the dishes from past years include shrimp and grits, shrimp ceviche, and shrimp stuffed mashed potatoes. The Weeks Bay Foundation supplies soda, wine, and beer from Budweiser and Fairhope Brewing Company.
After a few moments to digest, the crowd gets the chance to cut a rug to The Mulligan Brothers. This group has recently been touring throughout Ireland and the Netherlands and has been featured on the Al.com list of 20 Alabama bands to watch (and listen to) in 2016. The quartet is a mix of folk and bluegrass with plenty of good dancing songs.
Located right on Weeks Bay, many attendees come by boat and families fish off the pier while children run through the grass.
